Spanish fashion brands come together at the CPM Fair in Moscow

08/20/2010

Twenty Spanish companies from different fashion sectors will present their Spring-Summer 2011 collections at the signature trade fair in Moscow.

From 6 to 9 September, the CPM fashion fair (Collection Premiere Moscow), the main commercial platform for the Russian and Eastern European markets, is holding its 15th edition at the Krasnaya Presnaya Expocentr fairgrounds.

This fair brings together 1,200 brands and draws over 17,000 visitors from a wide variety of sectors: men, women and children's fashions, as well as leather, bridal wear, undergarments and swimwear. These brands, which come from 34 countries, will present their collections for the Spring-Summer 2011 season.

During a time during which the Eurozone is experiencing a cautious and gradual economic recovery, the number of Spanish exhibitors has slightly dropped in comparison with the edition held in February 2010, when 29 companies represented 59 brands.

The Spanish presence at this edition is comprised of 21 brands, including Escorpión, Jota+Ge, Nice Things, TMX, Sita Murt and Alba Conde, in women’s fashion; Custo Growing, Mayoral, Bóboli and Barcarola, in children’s fashion; and J&C and Udy, in undergarments and swimwear.

Spanish clothing exports to Russia in 2009 totalled over 100.9 million euros. During the first four months of this year, these exports amounted to 42.3 million euros, an 8% increase over the same period in 2009.
