The womenswear and accessories show runs from August 1 to 3 and features leading Spanish brands.
The London womenswear and accessories fair Pure London will celebrate its 26th edition from August 1 to 3 at the Olympia Exhibition Centre. At this latest edition, a total of 950 international brands will be presenting spring-summer 2011 collections.
After thirteen years, Pure London is a highly consolidated event, a beacon in the European sector and the UK’s major fashion showcase. It receives buyers from top European department stores like Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Harrods, Le Printemps and El Corte Inglés.
The exhibition area is divided up into eight sections: Directional, Studio, Boutique, Label, Premium, Spirit, Accessories and Footwear, each of which covers a different segment.
Spain has one of the strongest showings at the event, with a large number of different brands representing footwear, womenswear, bags and accessories.
Footwear is one of the strongest segments, with brands like Art/Neosens, Hispanitas, Alima, Ras, Looky, Chie Mihara, El Naturalista, Pretty Ballerinas,Paco Gil, Tony Mora, Wonders and Vienty. Womenswear brands include Desigual, Brunella, Escorpión, Isabel de Pedro, Florentino, Nice Day Nice Things and Skunkfunk.
Meanwhile, Puntotres and Cats exhibit bags.
Britain is a key market for Spanish fashion and was the fourth largest textiles client in 2009, when exports to this market reached €275 mill., up 6% on 2008, an export share of 5%. The British market is also the fourth largest Spanish client in footwear exports with a share of 9%, and 2009 sales exceeded €150 mill.
In the first term of 2010, Spain sold garments worth €75 mill. and footwear worth €43 mill.
