Fashion Week Swim in Miami welcomes the world’s best swimwear designers.
On July 16, 2010, Dolores Cortés presented her exclusive swimwear at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami. The Spanish brand was the only European designer to feature on this leading American catwalk.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami takes place each year at the Raleigh Hotel, Miami Beach. It brings together a vast number of media and leading figures in the fashion world for what has become the most prestigious swimwear runway presentation on the continent.
Dolores Cortés’s summer 2011 collection can be divided up into four clear-cut trends: safari-chic, for urban women; a French bohemian style inspired by the 1950s in acid tones; exotic shades and motifs taken from Australia’s Bells Beach and Denim Western, with a romantic air and vintage influence from 1970s America.
Dolores Cortés’s swimwear was worn with footwear by Spanish designer Paco Gil, who designed an exclusive collection for the occasion.
