The designer of Bambi by Laura has created a capsule collection for spring-summer 2010 for Roxy Heart.
Laura Figueras, the designer behind Bambi by Laura, has designed Roxy Heart’s spring-summer 2010 collection, Roxy’s most exclusive, cutting-edge line. Every set of Roxy Heart garments is made by a different artist, carefully chosen to link up with the brand style. Laura Figueras takes over from London designer Zakee Shariff.
The Roxy Heart Bambi by Laura collection is the result of the partnership between Figueras and Valerie Thevenot, designer of Roxy, and gives a chic and romantic slant to the Hawaiian looks of the Eighties. It includes 32 delicate garments made from silk, cotton and fine knit.
The collection’s exotic prints are the work of Spanish illustrator Santi Rodríguez, and combine Hawaiian flowers with romantic Liberty prints or parrot motifs. Laura’s highly personal style is evident in feminine dresses, oversize tops and waist-hugging skirts. Blue, grey and black, with bright pink, yellow and coral detail are the key colours. The collection will be available throughout Europe as of February at selected points of sale and the brand’s online shop.
Laura Figueras is the creator of Bambi by Laura. She entered the fashion world in 2002, when she joined the Preen studio in London. Since then, she has been part of the creative teams at Women´Secret and The Point. She also created a line of clothing for London brand Topshop. Bambi by Laura is sold all over the world in shops such as Pineal Eye (London), Faline and YMF (Tokyo), Olga Stores (Paris) and Dernier Cri (New York).
