The Spanish fashion brand gets into accessories with mini-collections for Hazel and Victoria.
Ailanto is stepping into shoes and bags. The designer duo is bringing their romantically feminine prints into summer collections for Hazel and Victoria.
The brothers Iñaki and Aitor Muñoz have created a special line of accessories and footwear for Hazel for spring-summer 2010. The new articles first appeared at the Ailanto catwalk show at the last Madrid Cibeles Fashion Week.
With its own unique vision of chic casual, the collection matches the brand’s womenswear for style and adds a touch of Oriental exoticism for good measure. The designers are offering two very urban bags, including a shopping bag which combines canvas with lambskin. The collection includes two shoe models with heels: a lace-up peeptoe in metallic nappa and suede and a more classic design with a front bow, which mixes nappa with snakeskin.
The designers also presented six designs for plimsoll brand Victoria. Inspired by the opulent universe of the 19th-century maharajas, Ailanto has created an original design with little elephants and climbing plants in squares which simulate patchwork in their Camping model, one of the brand’s icons. Pastel prints are combined with yellow, pink, beige, white, black and indigo blue in a richly coloured palette.
Ailanto has created a very personal look, defined by its rich colours and naïve style, in designs that are the essence of contemporary femininity. It has already been involved in partnerships in many different fields, working with Campari, Cinzano, Naf Naf and Chupa Chups.
