Solange Knowles provided the entertainment for a glamorous evening full of stars from the world of music, cinema and fashion.
The official opening of the spectacular flagship store of Spanish chain Mango took place on 20 November at number 561 Broadway right in the centre of New York’s SoHo district. The boutique is in the emblematic Little Singer Building, built in 1908 and recently restored to its original appearance.
Those attending the evening included some of the most popular faces from the world of fashion and US society, such as Ashley Olsen, Dakota Johnson (daughter of Melanie Griffith and the face of the brand’s latest jeans advertising campaign), socialite Julia Restoin-Rotfield and models Dree Hemingway and Jessica Stam. Also present was the actress Mónica Cruz, who together with her sister Penélope has designed several collections for Mango.
Following the opening, some of the guests headed off to Shang, restaurant in the Thompson LES hotel to attend an exclusive dinner provided by Isak Andic, chairman of Mango, that also included the presence of the designers Marc Jacobs, Tara Subkoff and Riane Rian. They later enjoyed a performance by Solange Knowles, sister of Beyoncé.
Mango currently has 1,231 sales outlets in 92 countries, including 20 in the United States.
