The installations will use the latest energy-saving technology and boast state-of-the-art communal areas.

Gioseppo, one of the most successful Spanish casual footwear brands, will open its new installations in Elche (Alicante) at the beginning of 2009, which will be equipped with the latest advances in modern technology. The bioclimatic building covering 10,000 m2 will house 3,000 m2 of office space and 7,000 m2 of completely automated warehouses with the capacity to hold three million pairs of shoes.

The architect Ricardo Miñana designed the installations in line with his brief, which was to guarantee energy efficiency and promote the wellbeing of staff. In order to do this he included a 100 kW photovoltaic solar plant in his plans, and designed large spaces with natural light to house the offices and communal areas, which include an interior garden of 300 m2 , a gym, a bar, and a rest area. The company has invested six million euros in the construction of the installations.

In the new factory, which has the capacity to house 150 work stations, they have also installed a Gioseppo Shop, which represents the brand's concept of the kind of shop that they wish to export as a franchise short term.

Founded by the Pertusa family from Navarre, Gioseppo is currently a solid brand whose colourful, fun collections for young people and children are sold in almost thirty markets worldwide.
