Massimo Dutti’s new ventures

11/21/2008

The Inditex brand name launches a collection of eyewear and opens its first children’s fashion shops.

A first collection of sunglasses and the firm stance for its children’s collection with exclusive shops set the way for the diversification undertaken by Massimo Dutti with the arrival of the new year.

This season, the urban chic emblem of the Inditex Group (Zara, Pull and Bear, Oysho, Stradivarius, Bershka) has presented its first line of eyewear for men and women, marked by its oversize dimensions and colours. Massimo Dutti Eyewear is the result of the agreement between the Spanish company and Indo to create and sell the line. Its worldwide presentation to the mass media took place in September in the Antara Polanco Shopping Centre in Mexico DF.

Children’s fashion also occupies a notable place in Massimo Dutti’s expansion strategy. Its Boys & Girls line has just opened exclusive shops in Madrid, at number 54 in El Paseo de la Habana and at number 16 in Orense. Massimo Dutti’s children’s collection has also been launched on the international market, after being installed in the brand’s establishment in Place de la Madelaine, 4, in Paris.

New markets for Massimo Dutti
The Spanish company chose the third quarter of the year to break into new markets, such as Israel and Slovenia. On September 5th, Ramat Aviv Shopping Centre in Tel Aviv became home to the first of the chain’s shops in Israel. Its collections for men and women can be found in the 340-m² space.

The city of Ljubljana, in Slovenia, was the setting for the first inauguration of Massimo Dutti in the country on October 9th. The premises, in the heart of the city’s most crowded shopping centre, has 440 m² of commercial surface area on a single floor, and offers the company’s proposals for men and women.
