Rosa Clará, collection 2009

A successful season for Rosa Clará

11/14/2008

The bridal fashion designer achieved outstanding economic results and has just opened a flagship store in Madrid.

The Spanish bridal wear firm Rosa Clará is closing its former boutique in Calle Velázquez, Madrid, to open a brand new flagship store in a spacious three-storey building on the same street, which was officially opened on the 5th November with a cocktail reception party attended by Rosa Clará herself.Just like the style that has made this designer so successful – reserved, modest and very elegant – the interior design of this new store creates a clean, luminous and almost Zen-like atmosphere.

The discrete combination of black and white draws the attention to the designs themselves, taken from the designer’s bridal and formal wear collections for 2009, which are on display for the first time in the Madrid boutique. Shoes and other accessories are the other star elements of the new store, along with the spacious changing rooms and a private room for companions. Everything has been carefully designed to ensure that the future bride will feel just like a princess.

New projects for 2009
It would appear that the designer has managed to sidestep the crisis, since her firm is currently experiencing a strong period of growth. In addition to the recently inaugurated flagship store in Madrid, the firm is also opening a string of other boutiques throughout Spain and internationally

The company plans to open seven more stores next year in the United Arab Emirates and a further seven in Sao Paulo, Bogotá, Santo Domingo and Miami. Antwerp and Paris will also be the setting for new boutiques next year. The emphasis placed on the international market is hardly surprising, since it accounts for 35% of the company’s sales.

In total, the company has 50 stores in Spain and around 60 throughout the world, as well as concessions in over 1000 department stores in countries such as Italy, USA and Japan. In 2009, the Rosa Clará Group is expecting to achieve growth of 30%.
