Tous lands in London

08/18/2008

The Spanish jewellery brand will open its first boutique in the English capital in October.

London may very well have been one of the few top international cities left for the Spanish jewellery brand Tous to add to its long list of points-of-sale. But the time has finally come to touch down in the capital on the Thames: the company will set up shop in the retail heart of the city in October.

The brand-new flagship store will be located in London’s exclusive West End district at the junction of Regent Street and Oxford Street. In its more than 300 square metres, Tous will implement a new shop concept which has been developed together with prestigious interior designers. The company has been implementing this concept in all its shops since the end of last year. The goal of this new image is to convey the brand’s values in a modern and up-to-date way. By organising the shop according to its products, the concept provides a more comfortable setting for the customer.

One interesting story about this shop premises is that, like all the others on this street, it is owned by the British Crown. Thus, the jewellery company had to strongly compete with other international fashion companies which were also interested in the space. In addition, Tous has teamed up with an exceptional partner for its arrival to the United Kingdom: Australian singer Kylie Minogue, one of the most famous inhabitants of London and the current face of the jewellery brand.

More future plans
The opening of the flagship store in London is the first of a series of openings that the Spanish company is planning in the United Kingdom. Next in line is the shop located at the Westfield shopping centre. Once the goal of establishing itself in London has been achieved, the brand’s next stop will be the famous Fifth Avenue of New York City, where the company is planning to open a boutique in the near future. Also in the brand’s short-term plans is Japan, a country in which Tous wants to expand its network of shops until reaching 80 within the next four years. All these projects are part of the company’s strategic plan for the year 2012, by which it expects to reach 1 billion euros in sales and 850 points-of-sale worldwide.
