The Spanish footwear label has launched Camper Baby, its first range for babies.
Next autumn, the Spanish footwear label Camper will be embarking on one of its sweetest projects: the launch of its first collection for babies, Camper Baby, which will feature small-scale models of some of the brand’s most emblematic models, such as Peu and Twins. But as well as the size, the difference between this range and its older siblings is the use of very delicate leather to create extremely soft shoes that are kind to babies’ little feet.
Camper: shoes and lifestyle
As well as footwear, the firm took its first steps in the lifestyle industry with the opening of a modern hotel Casa Camper right in the centre of Barcelona, and is now repeating the experiment in the restaurant trade with its newly inaugurated Dos Palillos, an Asian-Spanish fusion bar that reinvents typical oriental dishes such as dim sum, tempuras and stir fries as tapas. The restaurant will be run by the eminent chef Albert Raurich, who was the head chef for nine years at El Bulli, Ferrán Adriá’s prestigious restaurant.
The bar is located on the corner of Elisabets and Notariat, right in the heart of Barcelona’s Raval district. Its original decor combines the look of a typical Spanish tavern outside and a sophisticated Asian bar at the back to achieve a highly provocative contrast.
